SNAPSHOTS Student Artworks from “Trash to Treasure” In this issue, high-school art teacher Kathleen Sneed Petka shares her Trash to Treasure challenge (page 29), an activity to inspire students to reuse materials and to find the beauty in everyday items. Kathleen shared with SchoolArts that the Trash to Treasure challenge is her students’ favorite project, and she teaches it every year. There were so many amazing artworks from this project we decided to include more in this issue’s Snapshots feature! From bags to sculptures, here are just a few of our favorites.
