FOR Generation BY ERIKA OSMUNDSON | Communications Director TO COME RECOGNIZING BRAD BALSLEY, 2024 ICA PRODUCER OF THE YEAR This year, the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association (ICA) congratulates Brad Balsley for being named the 2024 Producer of the Year during the Iowa Cattle Industry Convention held in December. This year’s nomination was special because it came from Brad’s son, Dustin. With the help and encouragement of fel-low producer and family friend, Bob Noble, the two felt Brad should be recognized for his many years of dedication to his opera-tion, the Iowa beef cattle industry, and his community and family. Dustin shared some remarks about his dad during the convention’s award cere-mony and one thing that was shared and resonated was the example and compas-sion that Brad lived and led by. located alongside the Cedar River near Osage, Iowa. Brad has over 40 years of direct ownership and management of the family farm. Dustin shared that the farm encom-passes a diversity of agriculture, from row crop to hay production, and cow/calf to feedlot operations.
